| HELPFUL HINTS: Make it part of your yoga practice to arrive early. When you arrive at the studio, be mindful that another class may be in session. Speaking in a quiet voice will assist in keeping a calm and serene environment. Please sign in for every class, printing legibly to ensure that we get an accurate count. This is how your teacher is paid. Wear comfortable clothes.Practice on an empty stomach. Food and water. Drink lots of water, but do not eat for a few hours previous to your class. Come with an empty stomach. Allow 2-3 hours after a large meal. Please avoid wearing perfume ~ some people have allergies. Remove your shoes before entering the studio to provide a clean environment in which to practice. We suggest purchasing your own yoga mat. We have mats for rent in the studio but it is not as hygienic or as meaningful as practicing on your own mat. We sell quality mats and also rent mats if you don't have one. If you arrive late to class or if you need to leave class early, please respect your fellow students and enter and exit quietly. | | WHILE IN CLASS TIPS: If a student arrives late, be gracious and make room! (the studio can accomodate 35+ students) Don't be concerned how the other students are doing, Yoga is not about competition. Respect your limits and stop immediately if any posture does not feel right for you. Please be sure to inform your instructor before class begins about any injuries or special health conditions that might affect your practice. Modifications can be used to allow you to practice safely. Pick up and neatly put away any props you use. Commit to practicing at least once a week for a month to see benefits. The most important thing…enjoy yourself and have fun with your yoga practice! | | |
