Sherry Marietta, MA has been trained in counseling psychology through the holistic studies department at John F. Kennedy University, where she studied expressive movement, artistic process, and Jungian psychology. Sherry was first introduced to yoga as an undergraduate in 1999, and she has been a dedicated yoga student ever since. Through regular yoga practice she has discovered a sense of well-being & ease from the ability to let-go and willingly receive healing, knowledge, and wisdom from self and others, on and off the mat.
As a Kids Yoga instructor and advocate for optimum, holistic growth, she focuses on each child’s right and innate ability to self-express, create, and enjoy themselves as human beings. She provides a nurturing, supportive, and non-violent space for children to learn yogic disciplines and asanas, while enriching children’s interest through games, storytelling, expressive movement, and artistic process.
Sherry is currently pursuing licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist in Oakland, CA and is interested in child, sand-play, and art therapies.
