Virginia Velasquez Cruz is a Registered Yoga Therapy Instructor (RYT), with a major focus on stress reduction in all of her classes and presentations, and is a qualifying member of Yoga Alliance, The International Association of Yoga Therapists, and Kripalu Yoga Teacher’s Association, organizations that maintain high standards for qualifing Yoga Instructors. She is Founder and Owner of YOGAEASE “Quieting the Mind and Body through Yoga”, and CORPORATE YOGAEASE “Reducing Stress. Improving Health. Increasing Productivity in the Workplace”. She has 30+ years of experience as a Meditation and Yoga practitioner and approximately 10 years of experience as a Certified and Registered Yoga/Meditation Instructor.
She is trained and certified through Integrative Yoga Therapy, maintaining a therapeutic approach to Yoga, and through Yoga of the Heart, a program designed specifically to address the needs of cardiac patients, cancer survivors as well as those at high-risk for heart disease. The Yoga of the Heart yoga format is part of the Dean Ornish “Reversing Heart Disease” program as developed by Nischala Joy Devi, former Director of Stress Management, for the Dean Ornish initial heart trials.
Virginia brings with her a unique sense of community service through Yoga and teaches a therapeutic, yet powerful, form of Hatha Yoga.
